After this course you can
Explain to a peer leader the three parts of a leader's role in psychological health and safety, and identify which part applies to a given team situation.
For a given workplace situation, identify which legal obligation is triggered (harassment, accommodation, duty to inquire, or workers' compensation) and the first step the leader must take.
Hold a private concern conversation that opens with care and specific work observations, separates performance from support, and ends with an agreed next step.
Draft a written accommodation or return-to-work plan based on functional needs, with specific adjustments, a review date, and named responsibilities.
Run a team meeting routine that invites concerns, responds well to bad news, and closes with recognition, and choose one daily practice to sustain for 90 days.
Produce a written 90-day plan with two team risks, specific actions, measures, and check-in dates, and present it to a peer or manager.

How recorded assessment works
Final exams include a recorded demonstration. You upload a recording of your screen and voice. AI services turn your speech into text and help rate it against the course rubric, and a Verten assessor reviews on request or by sample. We do not use facial recognition. Verten staff who run assessments can view it, and each view is logged. Recordings may be stored or processed outside Canada. We delete them 12 months after your result (6 months if you are under 18). You can withdraw consent at any time, and you can ask for an alternative assessment without giving a reason. Learners under 18 need a parent or guardian to consent.
