Acceptable Use Policy

1. Account integrity

• Keep your account personal: do not share login credentials, and do not access or attempt to access anyone else’s account.
• Do not impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation.
• Do not create multiple accounts to evade a suspension, abuse promotions, or manipulate reviews.

2. Protecting course content

All course materials — videos, documents, quizzes, and assessments — are proprietary and licensed to you for personal learning only. You must not:

• Download, record, screen-capture, copy, or scrape course videos or materials, or attempt to bypass content protection measures such as signed URLs or watermarks.
• Share, publish, resell, or redistribute course content in any form, including sharing your screen so non-enrolled users can view a course.
• Use course content to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.

3. Certification integrity

• Complete all coursework, quizzes, and assessments yourself. Having someone else complete work under your account is grounds for certificate revocation and account termination.
• Do not alter, forge, or fabricate a Verten certificate, present a revoked certificate as valid, or claim a certification you have not earned.
• Do not attempt to defeat or abuse the public certificate verification service, including bulk automated verification requests.

4. Technical misuse

• No scraping, crawling, or bulk harvesting of platform data, and no use of bots or automated scripts to access the platform.
• No probing, scanning, or testing the platform for vulnerabilities, and no attempt to bypass authentication, authorisation, or rate limits. If you discover a security issue, report it to us at hello@verten.ca instead of exploiting it.
• No reverse engineering, decompiling, or copying of platform features, algorithms, or data structures.
• No introducing malware, and no activity that degrades the platform or interferes with other users’ access.

5. Community conduct

• Reviews and any content you submit must be honest, your own, and free of unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or harassing material.
• Do not use the platform to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages, or to collect other users’ personal information.
• Do not use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable law.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, revoking certificates obtained in breach of this policy, suspending or terminating accounts without refund, and pursuing legal remedies. Serious violations — content theft, certificate fraud, security attacks — will result in immediate termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
