After this course you can
Place a coworker's observed behavior on the four-zone mental health continuum and describe it as an observation, never a diagnosis.
Identify a cluster of warning signs in a coworker across behavior, emotion, physical state, and work, and record them as dated observations against the person's baseline.
Match observed workplace signs to the general patterns of common mental health conditions to inform a supportive response, while stating clearly that only a professional can diagnose.
Open and hold a private check-in with a coworker who seems to be struggling, moving through all five ROADS steps in order.
Select the right resource for a given level of need and complete a warm handoff, using a current local resource map.
Write and commit to one specific, dated personal action and contribute one team practice that keeps mental health conversations open at work.

How recorded assessment works
Final exams include a recorded demonstration. You upload a recording of your screen and voice. AI services turn your speech into text and help rate it against the course rubric, and a Verten assessor reviews on request or by sample. We do not use facial recognition. Verten staff who run assessments can view it, and each view is logged. Recordings may be stored or processed outside Canada. We delete them 12 months after your result (6 months if you are under 18). You can withdraw consent at any time, and you can ask for an alternative assessment without giving a reason. Learners under 18 need a parent or guardian to consent.
