After this course you can
- Sort pieces of work into projects and routine work, using the four tests: Temporary, Unique, Goal, Constraints.
- Write a scope statement goal and at least four deliverables for a project, each deliverable a thing handed over with a "done when" check.
- Turn a project's deliverables into cost lines, mark each deliverable that has no cash cost, and keep confidential details such as staff pay out of a shared budget.
- Identify at least six risks to a project and write each one as an uncertain future event with its cause and its effect, keeping issues, constraints, and vague worries out of the register.
- Write user stories that name who the work is for, what they want, and why, each with at least two acceptance criteria that can be checked yes or no.
- Compare two projects against the five fit questions, giving a fact from each project for every answer and the approach it points to.

How recorded assessment works
Final exams include a recorded demonstration. You upload a recording of your screen and voice. AI services turn your speech into text and help rate it against the course rubric, and a Verten assessor reviews on request or by sample. We do not use facial recognition. Verten staff who run assessments can view it, and each view is logged. Recordings may be stored or processed outside Canada. We delete them 12 months after your result (6 months if you are under 18). You can withdraw consent at any time, and you can ask for an alternative assessment without giving a reason. Learners under 18 need a parent or guardian to consent.
